My favorite thing about Kenzie was that she never paid attention to age or held herself back by what was expected of her peers. Whether it was waterskiing as a toddler, running wild trying to keep up with her sister and older friends, finding a way (walking, running, before her driver’s license!) to come to our house a few miles away to say “hi”, pursuing passions outside of school, yoga and cooking, she always pushed forward in an autonomous, confident way. That spunk!! As a kid, I loved how she just wouldn’t hear the word “no”. We had so many wonderful summers up in Canada with Kenzie, and I will always think of her and Carly as little sisters.
